Q: On Slide 8, where did the $97,143 come from?

A: On Slide 8 we present information from Session 2 with purely descriptive comments to contrast those descriptive comments with analytical comments about the same information. We state, “Sales increased by 5.94% to $3,250,042 in 2013 but the company lost $97,143.” The $97,143 loss is the 2013 Business Profit calculated on Slide 54 of the Session 2 slide deck.

The table on Slide 54 from Session 2 is copied below for reference.
